Honest comparison

Revio vs Cloudbeds

An all-in-one hospitality platform — PMS, channel manager and booking engine from one vendor, popular with independents and hostels.

Checked against their own published material, August 2026. No prices of theirs are quoted — those are negotiated, and we would get them wrong.

The difference that matters

With Cloudbeds the migration is the decision.

An all-in-one is bought all at once. Rooms, rates, guest history and every channel mapping are rebuilt before you can take a booking, and you make that commitment on the strength of a demo. Revio is the same shared core without the same all-or-nothing entry: start with the one product that fixes your loudest problem, and if you never add the others, nothing about that is a failure.

Where Cloudbeds is genuinely better

They are larger, older and further along than we are. If one of these decides it for you, it should — and we would rather you knew now than three weeks into an evaluation.

  • A much bigger integration marketplace — revenue management, upsells, guest messaging, everything.
  • Years of hostel and multi-property features we have not needed to build yet.
  • 24/7 support in multiple languages, which we do not have at our size.
  • A track record you can check with other hotels in your town.

Revio Cloudbeds
How you buy it One product at a time. Most hotels start with the channel manager. The platform, with modules enabled on it.
What it costs to start One module fee. No platform fee under 31 rooms. Platform pricing scaled to property size and the modules you take.
Getting your data in We load your rooms, rates and channel mappings for you, free — and between our own products there is nothing to load at all. A full onboarding and migration, which is real work whoever does it.
Adding a capability later An entitlement flips. Your data is already there; you answer only what is genuinely new. A module is enabled — you are already on the platform, so this part is comparable.
Leaving Month to month. Export whenever you want; on request we produce a full export. Check the term and the export path in your contract before you sign it.
Direct booking cost 2% of what the booking engine produces, and nothing on bookings you took yourself. Booking engine is part of the platform; commercial terms vary.
Marketplace and integrations Small and honest. Distribution via Channex; payments via Stripe; we will tell you plainly if something you need is not there. A large marketplace of third-party integrations.
Data isolation Enforced by Postgres itself — a bug in our code cannot return another hotel’s rows. Application-level isolation, as is standard for the industry.

Pick Revio if…

  • One thing is broken and you do not want to replace everything to fix it.
  • You have a PMS that works and only the channels are the problem.
  • You want to prove a vendor on one product before trusting them with the property.
  • Database-level tenant isolation matters to your group or your auditor.

Pick Cloudbeds if…

  • You want everything replaced at once and you have the appetite for the migration.
  • You depend on a specific third-party integration in their marketplace.
  • You need 24/7 phone support in your own language from day one.

We set it up for you

Your rooms, your rates, your channel mappings — loaded by us, not left to you on a Sunday night.

Free until your first booking syncs

Billing starts once the software has demonstrably worked. We can prove the date, because the platform records the first successful push.

30 days, money back

Change your mind in the first month and we refund it. No form, no retention call.

No contract, ever

Month to month. Leave whenever you want, and take your data with you.

Judge it against your own rooms.

Twenty minutes on real inventory. If Cloudbeds is the better answer for you, we will say so — it costs us less than a customer who leaves in March.

Everything above describes what each product is designed to do, checked against each vendor’s own published material. We do not quote their prices, because those are negotiated and regional and we would get them wrong. If you think something here is unfair or out of date, tell us and we will fix it — a comparison page we have to defend is worth more to us than one that flatters us. Cloudbeds is a trademark of its owner; we are not affiliated with them.
