Honest comparison

Revio vs Mews

A modern cloud PMS with a large open API and marketplace, aimed at design-forward hotels and groups that want to build on top of their platform.

Checked against their own published material, August 2026. No prices of theirs are quoted — those are negotiated, and we would get them wrong.

The difference that matters

Mews assumes you will assemble the rest.

Their open API and marketplace are genuinely a strength — if you have someone whose job is choosing, wiring and maintaining the integrations. If you do not, an ecosystem is a set of subscriptions and boundaries you now own. Revio ships the three pieces on one core, so the parts that would otherwise be integrations are simply not separate things.

Where Mews is genuinely better

They are larger, older and further along than we are. If one of these decides it for you, it should — and we would rather you knew now than three weeks into an evaluation.

  • A far deeper PMS, built over many more years and many more properties.
  • An open API and marketplace that is genuinely best in class if you will use it.
  • Multi-property and group functionality proven at a scale we have not reached.
  • Enterprise procurement, security questionnaires and contractual SLAs handled as routine.

How you assemble it You do not. The three products are one system with three faces. API and marketplace — powerful, and it is work somebody has to own.

Who answers when it breaks The people who wrote it. There are not many of us — that is the trade, in both directions. A full support organisation with defined service levels.

Pick Revio if…

  • You are an independent or a small group and Mews is priced for someone larger.
  • You do not have anyone whose job is maintaining integrations.
  • You want distribution and operations to share one availability number without an integration in between.
  • You will not sign an annual contract to try software.

Pick Mews if…

  • You are a group with the scale, the budget and the team to build on a platform.
  • You need a specific marketplace app that only exists in their ecosystem.
  • Your procurement requires a contractual SLA with remedies today.

Everything above describes what each product is designed to do, checked against each vendor’s own published material. We do not quote their prices, because those are negotiated and regional and we would get them wrong. If you think something here is unfair or out of date, tell us and we will fix it — a comparison page we have to defend is worth more to us than one that flatters us. Mews is a trademark of its owner; we are not affiliated with them.
